Anaesthesia & Pain Management
Anaesthesia & Pain Management I and II can be taken in any order.
For the course Anaesthesia, Pain Management & Critical Care we strongly recommend that you first attend at least two of the Anaesthesia & Pain Management or Emergency & Critical Care courses.
For the course Anaesthesia Focus On: Cardiac Anaesthesia it is required to have attended at least one of the following courses: Anaesthesia & Pain Management I or II; Emergency & Critical Care I or II; Anaesthesia, Pain Management & Critical Care; Cardiology I

Cardiology
The Cardiology courses must be taken in order. You can start with Cardiology I or Feline Respiratory & Cardiac Diseases. The Feline course can also be taken independently.
Cardiology II - V are usually not open for newcomers. Participants of the previous course always have the priority in registering for the next course to continue their education.
In case there will be places available, the ESAVS will accept newcomer applications. You can then send us your detailed CV and a short motivation letter, which we will forward to the course master for approval.

Clinical Nutrition
Nutrition I and II can be taken in any order.
Dentistry
The Dentistry I - Introduction to Dentistry, Diagnostics and Extractions course can be taken independently.
The Dentistry II - Periodontics and Feline Dentistry course can be taken independently (highly recommended to start with course I).
The Dentistry III - Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics – basic techniques course can only be taken after I (highly recommended to do course II before).
The Dentistry IV - Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics – advanced techniques course can only be taken after I and III (highly recommended to do course II before).
The Dentistry V - Prosthodontics, Orthodontics & Paediatric Dentistry course can only be taken after I (highly recommended to do course II before).
The Dentistry VI - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – tumour surgery, salivary glands, lymph nodes, tongue and lip disorder course can only be taken after I (highly recommended to do course II before).
The Dentistry VII - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – jaw fractures, jaw motion disorders, palatal surgery course can only be taken after I and VI (highly recommended to do course II before).
The Small Mammal Dentistry and Feline Dentistry course can be taken independently.

Dermatology
The Dermatology I course is mandatory. Dermatology II – VI can be taken in any order.

Diagnostic Imaging
The Ultrasonography – Introduction course is mandatory before you may register for Diagnostic Ultrasound I. Diagnostic Ultrasound II can only be taken after Diagnostic Ultrasound I.
Radiology I is mandatory before Radiology II.
Small Animal Computed Tomography, Diagnostic Imaging in Oncology, Neuropathology & MRI Interpretation and Diagnostic Imaging Focus On: Neuroimaging can be taken independently.

Lab Diagnostics
Cytology I is mandatory before Cytology II.
Haematology can be taken independently.
The Cytology & Haematology Practical Week can be taken after Cytology I or II or Haematology.

Oncology
Oncology I or Feline Oncology is mandatory before you may register for the next course. Oncology II and III can be taken in any order. Feline Oncology course can also be taken independently.

Soft Tissue Surgery I is mandatory before you may register for the next course, there will be no exceptions. Soft Tissue Surgery II – IV can be taken in any order.
Soft Tissue Surgery V can only be taken after participation in at least two Soft Tissue Surgery courses.
Orthopaedics I is mandatory before you may register for the next course. Orthopaedics II and III can be taken in any order.
The Orthopaedics Focus On: Advanced Techniques in Patellar Luxation can be taken after participation in Orthopaedics I, II and III.
